ROME, APRIL 6 – Weekly diary of the main events scheduled in the Euro-mediterranean area from April 6 to April 12: MONDAY APRIL 6 RABAT – The ‘Marathon des Sables’, race in the Sahara desert, continues (to April 13).

ISTANBUL – The annual Film Festival continues (to April 19).

MOSCOW – Second round of talks on the situation in Syria (until 9/4).

TUESDAY APRIL 7 PARIS – Visit by Tunisian President, Beji Caid Essebi (also tomorrow).

TUNIS – Tourism and Crafts Minister Selma Elloumi Rekik will be meeting with Tunisian tour operators abroad to discuss the situation and draw up a promotion and communication strategy (also 8/4).

WEDNESDAY APRIL 8 ROME – Meeting between Italy’s Foreign Minister, Paolo Gentiloni, his Egyptian colleague, Sameh Shoukry and Algerian minister for Maghreb and African Affairs, Abdelkader Messahel.

ROME – New French cinema, ‘Rendez-vous’, kicks off (to April 12).

MOSCOW – Visit by Greek prime minister Alexis Tsipras (also 9/4). THURSDAY APRIL 9 CAMP MARS (TUNISIA) – First edition of Desert Tango Camp (to April 12).

BRUSSELS – Visit by UN High Commissioner for Refugees Antonio Guterres, who will be received by European Commission president Jean Claude Juncker, vice president Frans Timmermans and Commissioner Neven Mimioca.

FRIDAY APRIL 10 ROME – Visit by Minister of European Integration of Kosovo, Bekim Collaku.
